Resumen del Editor

Can an atheist also be spiritual? This book's title is loved by Neale Donald Walsch, author of Conversations with God.

Provocative and daring, Spiritual Atheist challenges the views of many atheists and people of religions alike. The book suggests one possible truth that atheism and religion might just agree. The audacity of the book’s aim—finding a common ground rooted in spirituality—is only exceeded by its potential controversy.

The book asks and answers these difficult questions:
1. What is eternal life?
2. Who are we? Where did we come from?
3. Where did science and religion fail?
4. Where are science and religion helpful?
5. Where do science and religion meet?
6. What of God? What of life? What of humans?
8. Can atheists be spiritual?

Peter Ahkia’s uncompromising authenticity to point out what is so will at least prompt you to challenge the views and come up with your own truth.

"I love the title. The juxtaposition of those two words is great. “Spiritual Atheist” is terrific…As soon as I see that on the bookshelf, I gotta at least pick it up and turn it over to see, you know, what’s on the back cover." (Neale Donald Walsch, author of Conversations with God, personal communication, December 11, 2023). Not meant as an endorsement of the book.

Very clear and honest

I can only give my opinion of this and I think it's a very honest representation of Atheist views while maintaining a respect for spiritual belief and the benefits of having a spiritual connection in life. I think it's very well narrated and good information and maintains a balanced view across beliefs.

May help you think

I am a Christian, but I picked this book up out of curiosity. I have to say that the arguments, even though I disagree with them, are well thought out. The attempts to make a case for a spiritual atheist are not too casual. The book doesn’t dismiss faith as though those who believe couldn’t possibly have thought it through like many do. I think that’s a plus. It is a book that may help you clarify your thoughts regardless of the side of the argument where you fall.
