Spirit Bundle

Silas Spotted Wolf is dead --- murdered. Nobody seems to care, For his family and friends, it is life as it has always been at Pine Ridge. For the whites, he is just another dead Indian. But for Ash Zschernig he is a friend. And Sarge has asked that his friend be his ‘Spirit Bundle Keeper”. In Lakota tradition the Spirit bundle is central to purifying the soul to enter the after-life and being the keeper is not a position Ash takes lightly. He attends his friend’s funeral and takes on his duty, but then is drawn inexorably into penetrating the web of lies surrounding the murder.
