Spiders on Strat records a complete season replay of the legendary 1899 Cleveland Spiders (20-134, .130), as seen through the eyes of a dice baseball player who came to love the team in all its fabulous incompetence. For each game, all 154 of them, there’s a full account of the replay and a summary of the real one, including amusing contemporary newspaper quotes. At the end there’s a full statistical record, and a look at how close the replay came to reality. And by the end, you’ll come to love the Spiders too.
