Great book
Enjoyed every page of this book. Well written and very engaging. Flows vary nicely with sufficient narrative to capture every moment of intrigue and excitement. The narration provided by Mr. Pruden complimented the storyline with natural voice inflections and easy follow-through. He had the unique ability to add dramatist and subtle texture. I highly recommend this book and look forward to more of Hunt/Casey books.

To be honest I didn't have very high expectations for this book, but I was more then pleasantly surprised. The book is clever, intelligent and inspiring. An ideal entertainment for a capitalist adventurer.

Enjoyable quick read with drama, suspense, romance
Fun to listen to. Clearly read by the voice artist. Good voices. Easy to follow. Quick read. Drama, suspense, with some shameless philosophy sprinkled in, though not laid on as thick as Ayn Rand, but similar in style.

dougs first swing at fiction
if your familiar with Doug Caseys thinking through other writings this will be familiar ground as its all over the place, sometimes even trying too hard imho. The story is not bad with some intrigue, but char dev is a bit weak most of them being one dimensional making whole story less engaging. Still its a worthwhile chill listen with some useful refs

Thrilling & Educational
I thoroughly enjoyed SPECULATOR. I went on the read (listen) to the other 2 Highground novels featuring Charles Knight. DRUG LORD and the 3rd of the series ASSASSIN.
Great to have history, science, finance and politics woven thru and exciting story line. I hear a 4th book is in the making… TERRORIST. I wonder what Charles Knight will be up to next. Thank you Doug Casey and John Hunt. Special thanks to narrator John Pruden for a job well done!
