Harold Pierce didn't mean to kill his baby brother all those years ago. Shaun Hutson is one of the UK's best-known horror writers and author of over 50 books. He made his name with best-sellers such as Spawn and Relics - acquiring the nicknames 'The Godfather of Gore' and 'The Shakespeare of Gore' in the process - and has since written a number of dark urban thrillers as well. He has also written for radio, magazines, television and novelized a couple of Hammer Horror films.

Very meh.

An ok listen, but the author clearly had the scraps of two, maybe 3 stories, that he mashed together to get the word count up to a full novel.

Meh...

Story could have been better, longer...a little more detailed...abrupt and questionable ending...it was ok...kind of a clipped version

Unusual

This was not in my usual genre so it may deserve more stars. I found it interesting but somewhat gross. Really didn’t attach to any characters.

The book was a little boring.. and there was too many names lol I didn’t know who was what or whatever lol

Poor Narration

I didn’t care for hearing the narrator constant inhaling, it was annoying. And could be heard each time he took a breath.

Loved it

Anyting about creepy little babies is right up my alley. Great story and definitely worth listening to. The narrator did an amazing job with his portrayals of the characters. Can't wait to read/listen to my next book by Shaun Hutson.

Story was okay - narrator was not!

Book was okay, narrator was not.
It felt like two different stories that had nothing to do with each other.
You can hear the narrator breathe in deeply , swallow and lick his lips all through the book.

what kind of anticlimactic ending is this..?

could have been a way better ending for sure made no sense at all why..?

Reader Beware

Even though I'm a Clive Barker fan(both movies & books) I couldn't make it through this. The descriptions in this are hard to hear.
