A very interesting work on a the topic among some people. It handles it fairly on both sides and points out realities that affected the situation.

Well written and described.

Wow, this is a very exciting look back on a very significant part of USA history. A part that became America into what it is today.

Interesting but….

If you love the Philippines and want to know more about the USA’s first interactions with them, then you might find this interesting. However, if you are sensitive to learning more about how The USA has behaved dishonorably with another country, I do not recommend Admittedly, there is a strong anti American bias in the text, and this should act as a further deterrent for those not so inclined. Also, pronunciation on the names of many Philippine towns and provinces could have been better.

A very interesting work by the author.

An outstanding work that was a mandatory listen. As a young Captain, it presented historical information that gave me a better understanding of military leadership and the art of war.

A good short history on a forgotten subject

Good, 7 hrs, one-volume history of the Spanish-American War and US-Philippine conflict. The only issue I had with it is that it is too big, lol.
