Cute story. Heavy Topic.
This is a cute story with a difficult ending that is helpful for discussing the reasons and consequences of war. I was surprised by the ending, but that makes it stand out from other children's books.
The narration was excellent, and the sound effects helped keep my young listener engaged in the story.
I highly recommend this book to caregivers looking for a story to help them discuss war with young readers. This is not a book to let a child listen to without having a conversation afterward.

Lamar Golden builds a fantastical world that helps kids understand how wars begin, and advocates for a peaceful solution. Extremely relevant to the current climate.
