Horrible Narration

Author should have stuck with one of the previous narrators instead of doing it herself. Northern accent for Peter and Riley's voice were painful to hear. It really distracted from the story.
I enjoyed the other two so much more.

A change of voice

I had previously heard the other Lisa Patton books Whistlin Dixie in a Nor’easter and the other one in the series and the reader was great. I was very disappointed in this reader.

A fun sequel to the first book

I enjoyed the sequel and once again thought the characters endearing. The only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars is that the narrator changed and I preferred the one from the first book. The “northern accent” sounds like Peter has a speech impediment instead of being from NJ. (Don’t laugh. As a southern lady myself I can understand the confusion, but in this book it just didn’t suit my ears.) I won’t keep me from listening to another one though.

Sweet story, character voices poor

Having listened to boom 1 & 2, disappointed reader changed. Reader/authors voice good but other than Riley, other voices sounded a version of Riley. Peter was the worse with a lisp. If that was her idea of an east coast accent, missed it by a mile.
Nice ending. I love Memphis and enjoyed all the references.

Narration

Author’s narration was awful. Riley and Peter sounded almost alike. The NJ accent was bad. Kissy’s voice wasn’t good either. If I hadn’t read the first 2 books I would have returned it.
