While Anthony McNamer may not have f**ked your mom, he has led a pretty interesting life. He went from waiting in line for government cheese with his single, eight-times-married mom and his two high-school dropout brothers (both fathers by seventeen), to graduating from Oregon State University in three years and from Stanford Law School at the age of 23.

He's worked at prestigious multinational law firms, started his own practice, written screenplays that caught the attention of Hollywood heavyweights, launched a successful indie record label, and built a small real estate empire.

Along the way, he's been a BMXer, breakdancer, mixed martial artist, stand-up comedian, and both members of a comedic rap duo. Oh, and let's not forget the roadside attraction he created, featuring the world's largest corndog and the world's only mechanical riding corndog. And he's travelled to nearly 90 countries, often by himself.

As you can imagine, he's picked up some great stories along the way, and has decided to share them with you in this little book. He hopes you enjoy them.

I think Anthony has put his comedic genius on full display with this book. His short stories are couched and crass language and references to him being a dick. And arguably, there’s some commentary in there that might bear out that assessment. But what I really got from this book was a deeply emotional connection to a man who practices integrity and has risen out of an in auspicious start into a position where he has an amazing life driven by his own self determination.

I’ve known Anthony for over 20 years and count him among a handful of close friends and frankly one of my closest friends, however, there was so many stories in here that I knew nothing about that offered new insights into who he is as a man and gave me an even deeper respect for him.

For a casual reader, none of that’s relevant what’s relevant is that the short stories are hilarious and Anothy’s writing style is also equally hilarious as I said at the beginning, there’s comedic genius in this book start to finish as the title would suggest.

I highly recommend giving it a read or listen and just sit back and enjoy. At one point while I was traveling in India and listening to the book I was laughing so loud on the plane I think all the Indian people were looking at me wondering if I was taking malaria pills! That’s an inside joke you’ll have to read the book to get.

I went into Sorry I F*ked Your Mom! expecting laughs, but I didn’t expect to be as drawn in as I was—especially early on. Chapter 2, “The Early Years,” was a genuine surprise. The insight into his life before high school added real depth and helped shape who he becomes later in the book.

The absolute standout for me was Chapter 34, “Chicken Salad Sandwich.” I laughed out loud—no exaggeration. That chapter alone is worth the read and perfectly captures the author’s sharp, absurd sense of humor.

Another highlight was the moment he lands a clerkship at the High Court of Pongo Pongo. The descriptions of the court, its traditions, and even the attire were unexpectedly fascinating and added a fun, behind-the-scenes layer to the story.

Overall, this book was entertaining, well-paced, and consistently engaging. It balances humor with surprising depth, making it an enjoyable read. Definitely worth checking out if you’re looking for something funny with substance.

Don’t judge this book by its cover!
