Sophomore Year: Box Set is a sexy comedy with just enough sports and adventure mixed in to make it unforgettable. Join this ‘stupid boy’ as the girls in his life guide him through the highs and lows as he tries to navigate his sophomore year of high school. The Stupid Boy Series is a collection of books about the coming of age of a remarkable young man. Review: If you liked the first box set, then the second one will be a rare pleasure. Sophomore Year is not more of the same the following year. Sophomore means wise fool, and David fits the description. Growing up sucks, the little lies we told ourselves turn out to be harmful to us and those around us. I like being mature. I just hated maturing; wisdom comes with experience, and experience comes from a lack of wisdom. And in addition, it is well-written. G Younger knows football, and he also knows baseball. He understands coaching and technique, and if you are interested in either sport or both, you are in for a special treat. I got tired of getting beaten up in high school and I am a coward anyway, so the only sport I went out for was track because I learned early on that I could outrun the bullies. I loved football, but I also graduated high school, weighing a whopping 115 pounds. Now at 68, I need to lose almost that much. Damn. I worked in the photographer’s district in Manhattan in the mid-1970s and dated a number of vacuous and underweight models. The smart ones avoided me, so I never met an Adrienne or a Kara; I know they existed. I was just on the wrong wavelength, and by the time I had the maturity to date the fine ones, I was married. The story, however, is about relationships and maturation in addition to sports and modeling. It is also a story with more than a few intelligent parents and a few dumbasses, pretty much like real life. My strong suggestion is to buy this box set and read the whole 900+ pages of the story over a weekend. A word here to the editor(s) and proofreader(s); well done, really well done. The story flows; the characters are believable and human and not perfect. The information on the various sports, modeling, and whatever else David gets into is accurate and accessible, and eminently readable. It is my fond hope that this story continues and that David reaches his goal of football on Sunday and that G Younger is still writing about it. Frankly, I don’t give a damn about ... Nah, why ruin it for you? If you haven’t read the first box set, what are you waiting for? – RabbiRabbit These books are intended for mature audiences. Género Ficción Mayoría de Edad Deportes
