History of Slavery

This was a compelling story of a families life on a plantation and their journey towards freedom although everyone doesn’t successfully make the journey. It’s raw, emotional, sad, beautiful, all that this life brings beautifully woven together!

A must have

I loved everything about this book. Her words had me engulfed in the presence of the time.

A thriller and a mystery How the life of the main character entwined with many characters throughout the book.

I like the story but dislike the ending. The ending was so hurried up and left me hanging for more.
