Sadly , that process – and the years of conversation – was cut short by Sondheim’s own hesitations, then the global pandemic, and finally by the great artist’s death in November 2021.

An enjoyable overview, but . . .
The narrator’s voice is admirable but there are so many mispronounced names that should have been corrected: Gingold. Alger. Sian. Mazzie. McKechnie. Many more. Why were these not caught by someone in the studio?
