Karalee “Kream” Stokes isn’t the type of woman you find in a church pew. She’s the kind of woman people whisper about—beautiful, broken, and bound to a man who’s as dangerous as he is controlling. Deacon Ross Davis knows better. But when God tells him to love her anyway, Ross risks everything—his reputation, his house, even his celibacy—to bring her home.
But healing ain’t holy oil and hallelujahs. Especially not when you’re running from shame, trauma, and secrets the church ain’t ready to hear.

As Karalee tries to rebuild her life and earn back custody of the child she never got to raise, her faith is tested, her marriage pushed to the brink, and her past comes back in ways she never expected. When forgiveness feels like a foreign language and justice starts looking like revenge, Karalee will have to decide: is she done fighting… or is this just the beginning?
Told with raw honesty, unshakable faith, and real street heat, Something Worth Fighting For is a soul-wrenching journey of love, redemption, and the war between who you were and who God is calling you to be.

This was an excellent book but left a strange impression on my heart. This book is trauma filled and realistic until it hurts. I've been hurt and mistreated but never to the extent for which the characters endured, especially the main character. For that reason I strongly encourage you to pray before reading/listening. It's a difficult read. If you've experience trauma related to physical/sexual abuse, this book may be triggering. You should seek counseling immediately if you find yourself experiencing PTSD after this book. My spirit was deeply challenged and I felt heavy burdened while listening to this book and even when I finished. It caused me to pray with deep intentions towards victims of such brutality. It shook me, made me angry, sad, and determined to increase my prayers for situations like this. To the author... not sure how you got through writing this story. Although difficult to read/listen you must've been affected in some way writing this intense fictional (but yet realistic) piece. I pray for you. I pray that your writing is led by the Holy Spirit to heal and that anything less will be canceled in the name of Jesus Christ.

Good book, but pray before listening

I loved the storyline. It was full of drama ,action and distraction. It held my interest wanting to know what was next. I listen for 4 hours straight. I finished within 12hours. The narrator was on point. It was a great change from that computer narrator. This women just wanted a man to give her everything in life that she wanted. She used her body to get it. This was a great listen.

Trying to find joy

This was a really good story. I was soo mad throughout the story. Question though, why didn’t anybody ask Siddick where the place was. He knew somebody that knew or otherwise he wouldn’t have got in to get her. There is no way I could forgive my mother regardless of her situation. She deserved to pay for what she did. Thank God for Ross. Kelly deserves to be mad but to punish a child from their mother was not the way. Karma needs to reach out, oh but it did, she can’t have children. You have to have a strong faith to get through the things she went through.
