Loved it!

This is the first book I have read from this author and I loved it! I love a mystery with some romance and the mystery in this one kept me wanting to keep hearing more. Every time I thought I knew what was happening there would be another turn. I can't wait to read the next book in this series but also others from this author. Excellent, excellent excelent!

Part of the secret

I found Sleepless to be a truly refreshing and engaging read. What stood out to me most was how Gina Salomon boldly reveals the “mystery” right from the start—an unconventional and compelling choice. Rather than withholding the obvious until the end (as so many books do), Salomon makes it part of the journey, allowing the reader to step into the story from the very first page.

This approach didn’t take away from the suspense—it enhanced it. Being in on the “secret” early on created a deeper sense of immersion and made me feel like I was part of the unraveling, not just observing it. The book then skillfully layers in the real mystery, drawing you in even further.

The narrator’s voice was absolutely spot on—authentic, relatable, and emotionally resonant. It grounded the story beautifully and made the experience even more compelling.

Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed Sleepless. It broke the mold in the best way possible, and I can’t wait to see what Gina Salomon writes next!

This audiobook had me hooked from the start! The story blends mystery, suspense, and a touch of romance perfectly. I loved the mix of interesting, well-developed characters, and just when I thought I had figured out who the culprit was, the plot took another turn. The twists kept me guessing right up to the end. It’s a great listen for anyone who enjoys cold case mysteries with a few unexpected surprises along the way.

Engaging, inventive story and characters

"Sleepless" is an engaging, inventive story with interesting characters and situations. Dustin Davis does an excellent job presenting the story, making it an enjoyable listening experience.

My wife and I recently listened to it during an extended road trip, in segments, as we went from place to place. We looked forward to listening to it on our next drive, keeping it going as often as we could.

After we finished, we enjoyed a good time discussing various aspects of the story and characters. There were numerous aspects that we observed that made for interesting consideration.

The storyline weaves together from different viewpoints and locations, resulting in a meaningful conclusion.

Kept me listening!

I'm normally not big into mysteries as I sometimes get lost or confused, but I really liked this one! It kept me wanting to know more, and I binged it in 2 days! The author does a great job of painting the picture for the reader, and I love how the dialogue sounds like real conversations people would have. I'm a sucker for damsel-in-distress romances and strong heroes and it was a nice change of pace to have this hero's strength be more intellectual than physical. I also appreciated the intimate scenes being passionate yet not vulgar in description. It's hard to find good romances that have that perfect balance.
The narrator does a great job bringing the characters and story to life! I love it when narrators include chuckles and grunts when they're written on the page, which really helps make it real.
