Acerca de esta escucha

Sir William Benedict, a working-class man turned entrepreneur, has everything money can buy, including an island paradise in the Caribbean. The only thing he is missing is acceptance from society's elite.

When he begins to fund Andrew Maynard MP, a rising political star, he has what he has always wanted within reach. But political scandal soon erupts, and William finds himself an outcast once again.

Desperate, he turns to Andrew's ex-lover to plot his retribution. Soon his island goes from paradise to the backdrop for revenge.

I attentively listened to the whole book, thought the story was fairely interesting, the characters more or less so, and the narration very good. However, maybe a bit too drawn out and lengthy. It'll be interesting to read what other reviewers have to say.

Hum...

The plot is interesting. But quite drawn out. i expected the story to turn in a different direction. Also I don’t like steamy. And there were an overwhelming amount of steamy scenes. Lynda La Plante
is a wonderful writer and her plots and knowledge in the criminal area bar none. She absolutely needs not apply these kind of cheap tricks to retain the attention of the listener, or perhaps is she venturing into Harlekin domain to gain new followers ?

Not what I expected
