A flunking Midwestern college student drops out and moves west to live the ski bum life. In the Colorado mountains he finds a group of like-minded, and sometimes degenerate, friends who show him that a ski town is the ideal place for young people to raise a middle finger to societal norms and do as they please. Great insight to something everybody should do in their life, yet few do. Live your dream and then become an adult. Great insight into becoming a responsible adult by living a year or two being totally irresponsible.

This is an amazing story telling about how it really is! Gritty, playful and unpretentious. It’s genuine but there are hints of Kerouac and Thompson detected: making it fun without pickling it.
