This was an excellent follow up to the first book.I totally enjoyed it! Maria Johnson was a terrific narrator.I was given this book free for an honest review.

Even better....

...than the first. This second book in the series was even better than the first! Felicity is such a fun, bold character, and her unexpected connection with the brooding Earl of Anderly was full of heart and charm. Their chemistry was great, and I loved how her energy slowly pulled him out of his self-imposed isolation. Add in a mischievous pug, and it was a thoroughly delightful listen from start to finish. The narration continued to be strong, bringing just the right tone to the story.

Clean and wholesome

Sketches by the Serpentine by Rosanne E. Lortz is an amazing clean historical regency fiction. Maria Nicola Johnson did an incredible job with the narration. The story is entertaining, clean, wholesome, romantic, enjoyable, delightful, funny, and more. Sketches by the Serpentine is the second book in Comfort Quartet series. I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.highly recommended

Delightful Regency Romance with 5 Star Audiobook Narration

The audiobook of this novel is exceptionally good, characterized by excellent, distinctly different and appropriate to character enactments. This 2024 book is delightfully reminiscent of the incredibly successful Georgette Heyer and Barbara Cartland. I found the treatment of fashion and the rigorous rules of Regency England applied flawlessly. While there is a mysterious death in the book, its tone is lighter than the style of Wuthering Heights. The series follows a set of siblings, but I started with #2 in the Comfort series and it worked well as a stand alone. A delightful Regency romance, but an exceptionally good professionally performed audiobook. I would tell the author to paint a richer historical fiction setting and to include more geo-political detail to more firmly situate the story and provide an additional level of audience enjoyment.

Another of Lortz wonderful stories. All of the ones I have listened to are all made even better with narration by Maria Nicola Johnson! Thank you.

Narrated beautifully

A fun audio book that was beautifully narrated. Book two of four regarding the Comfort sisters. Felicy, sister #2 is full of life and joy. As she comes into contact with an artist, who is withdrawn and more reclusive, she draws him out to see the colors of the world. The narrator did an excellent job changing to suit each character.

Enjoyed listening

I love when Rosanne and Maria collaborate together on an audiobook. I always enjoy their work. I loved listening to the story narrated by Maria, loved the characters, enjoyed the tense moments of the story and hearing how the solutions would unfold. I always get so drawn in to listening to the story, that I can see it all playing out in my mind. I look forward to hearing more stories.
