Six Scilly Swimmers continues the extraordinary personal account of Mark Ransom, who faced the challenge of a world first relay swim from mainland Britain to the Isles of Scilly in September 2021. None of his team of six had ever swam in the Atlantic before and if any swimmer failed to complete their hour stint, the whole swim would be over.

This is a tale of teamwork and spirit, adventure and hardship. The ups and downs are described in vivid detail as Mark experienced them, the team facing personal challenges along the way including two undergoing surgery, a broken leg, a respiratory arrest, bereavement and giving birth. And on top of all this, the country was on lockdown and the team forbidden from doing any proper training at all. But every day brought a new adventure and the epic achievement, which was finished at just under eighteen hours, was officially recognised with a Guinness World Record.
