This was such a delightful book to listen to. The production value was superb. I found the voice and pronunciation easy to follow. The way the vocabulary was structured was easy to follow.I could repeat the spellings to get a feel for the alphabet and pronunciation of each work. The author also did an excellent job of being upbeat and encouraging along the way, which was refreshing and motivating. I'm excited to apply what I've learned!

One of the most beautiful cities I have ever visited is Prague. I have often thought of going back, but if I do, I would like to be able to engage in some basic communication. This book is exactly what I need. Written and narrated by a native Czech speaker, the book covers the Czech alphabet and basic words (such as yes, no, polite phrases, basic pronouns and verbs, and the like); words for days, months, time, and the seasons; numbers from zero to 100; and people-related words (such as man, woman, immediate family members, and even inlaws). Throughout, each Czech word is pronounced more than once, spelled, and translated. The narration is slow enough to allow you to process the information and practice speaking. Listening to a native speaker is enormously helpful, as Czech pronunciations can be quite different from English, Spanish, and other more common languages in the U.S. Finally, while this book covers the basics, more advanced ones are coming from this author.
