Good start to the series :)

This was a good story. I liked Sean and Beth and their story was interesting. This was the first story I've read by this author and I liked it enough that I might consider trying more of her work in the future.

Beth is an insurance claims person that works for a local VA hospital. Beth is beautiful but lost her hearing due to an accident around 5 years ago and it destroyed her life. Beth's been trying to rebuild her life but people aren't kind and she's had a hard time adjusting to life without being able to hear.

Sean is a doctor in a VA hospital and an Ex Navy SEAL. He went into the military for money for college but liked his time while in there. Sean has a brother, Ryan, who he's very close to...they work together and live together. They're also both man-whores until Sean meets Beth.

Sean and Ryan are leaving the hospital one day and Beth literally runs into Sean. Sean is immediately attracted and wants to see Beth again and a few days later he finds her in the cafeteria at lunch. Sean manages to get Beth to go out with him but it's not easy. Beth has had a lot of issues with men taking advantage of her lack of hearing, often saying or doing nasty things behind her back thinking she'll be none the wiser. Because of this, Beth has a hard time believing in any man and doesn't believe any guy would actually want a deaf girlfriend and be willing to deal with the hassles that go with her.

Sean has his work cut out for him because Beth's first instinct is to back off if something happens that could lead to her getting hurt. Sean works hard at making progress with Beth and does, slowly but surely. Ryan even gets involved, treating Beth like a sister and making sure she's comfortable with being drawn into their family. Despite Beth's leeriness, things go well between Beth and Sean but there are some difficulties that threaten their happiness, including Sean's cousin and a connection to Beth's past. Beth and Sean have some issues that threaten them and there's some danger and drama but in the end, they come through it together and starting their HEA.

This was an enjoyable story. I liked Beth, regardless of her tenancy towards shyness to avoid standing up for herself. I liked Sean very much and can't think of any complaints about him. I did feel that there were some points of the story that seemed more distracting than helpful and the Courtney storyline felt like it was left hanging...maybe it'll get resolved in the next book. Outside of that I did like the story but I'm not sure if I'll go on to the next book.

Fall in love with Sean and his new life.

This was an awesome book. I enjoyed getting to know Sean and Ryan. Sean is a tough guy who has a very sweet spot for Beth. I loves the ending. it was fantastic.

This book was well written and also well performed. I finished in record time, once I started I was hooked and couldn't turn it off.

Can't wait to read and listen the entire series. Great job, Casey!

Perfect love

This is one of the best books I have read in a long time. The story is different and consuming The characters are strong and believable I loved every minute of it
