Are you struggling in silence, feeling like your pain is invisible and your emotions are hard to express? Have you ever found yourself suppressing your feelings, ignoring them, or coping in unhealthy ways? Or maybe you’ve already sought help before, but it didn’t feel right or never stuck.

For too long, men have been told to toughen up, keep it together, and always push forward, no matter the cost. But what happens when the weight of grief, depression, and anxiety becomes too much to bear?

You can't outrun the pain, and ignoring it only makes it grow stronger. If you've ever felt lost, broken, or like you're quietly falling apart while the world keeps spinning, this book is for you.

A. W. Hiyasat knows firsthand what it's like when everything falls apart, and now he wants to show those who feel broken how to pick up the pieces and build the life they want.

Inspired by one man's collapse and hard-won clarity, Silencing the Noises Within offers practical tools grounded in the author's journey from emotional chaos to peace and strength.

Inside, listeners will learn how to:

  • Recognize the ways depression and grief manifest differently in men.
  • Break the cycle of overthinking and make space for emotional healing.
  • Redefine masculinity and explore the complexities of anger.
  • Build emotional language that supports authenticity and genuine connection.
  • Strengthen the relationship between mind and body for overall well-being.
  • Find meaning and clarity after a crisis with strategies for managing grief.
  • Learn long-term strategies for mental and emotional stability.

Some of the most challenging things you can face are the battles in your own mind, but you don't have to face them alone. Let this book be your coach, guiding you toward deeper connections and lasting resilience.

Overcome overthinking, free yourself from the weight of your mind, and embrace a life beyond the noise within.

I really enjoyed this audiobook because it really hit home for me and felt both honest and relatable. The author talks openly about struggles men face with depression and anxiety, and it never feels too preachy. What stood out were the real, practical tools that you can actually use day to day, especially around overthinking and redefining what strength really means. The narrator’s voice was calm and real, which made even the heavier parts easy to listen to. It’s the kind of book that makes you stop and reflect while also giving you a path forward. I’d definitely recommend it to anyone feeling stuck or weighed down by their own thoughts. I will probably come back to this at some point.

picked this up on Audible after my dad passed away last year and I was really struggling. What I liked most was how the author gets what it's like being a guy dealing with this stuff - no judgment, just real talk. The part about overthinking really hit home for me. I'd lay awake replaying everything, and the techniques for breaking that cycle actually worked. Also appreciated the stuff about redefining what being "strong" means - it's not about pushing everything down. Started using some of the mindfulness exercises and honestly, I'm sleeping better and not feeling so stuck in my head all the time. If you're a guy going through it, this audiobook helps. Definitely worth a listen.

This audiobook is powerful, raw, and deeply human. It tackles anxiety, grief, and depression with honesty and compassion, offering real tools without ever feeling clinical or distant. What stands out most is the author’s vulnerability—sharing his collapse and path to clarity makes the guidance feel relatable and authentic. Garrett Kiesel’s narration adds warmth and strength, creating a sense of being guided by a trusted friend. A must-listen for anyone seeking resilience, healing, and hope.

Listening to this audiobook felt like having a steady, understanding guide walk me through the toughest emotions. The pacing is excellent—never rushed—making it easier to absorb the practical tools for handling anxiety, grief, and depression through mindfulness and emotional regulation. What really stood out was the compassionate tone: it doesn’t shame you for struggling, but instead shows you clear, doable ways to reset and find resilience. Highly recommended for anyone looking for both comfort and actionable steps.

It was refreshing to hear the author, A. W. Hiyasat discuss parents who may have been physically present but were emotionally “checked out”— The way they discuss the masks of masculinity we are forced to wear was so poignant and really brings about such an awareness to the subconscious behaviors we learnt and use to make it day by day. But what comes with these kind of revelations is an undertaking of growth both spirituality and worldy. The narrator is also fantastic and easy to listen to. Thank you to the author for this.
