After losing her 17-year-old daughter in a car accident, Sara began writing. Her words exposed the wounds that only others who experience seismic grief can truly understand. Sighs and Goodbyes follows this sometimes-winding path through the dark early days of despair, leading to the comforting arms of a father who understands and is waiting. Grief is never the predictable journey we want it to be. Its ending is elusive, and the sharp pain of loss often can be just a photograph or sticky note away.
In sharing these raw journal entries after her loss, the author also provides a light to those who also may find themselves struggling to find their way in grief. And although some questions may never be answered, grace can always be found along the way.
