Brian and his friends are not part of the cool crowd. They're the misfits and the troublemakers - the ones who jump their high school's fence to skip class regularly. So when a deadly virus breaks out, they're the only ones with a chance of surviving. The virus turns Brian's classmates and teachers into bloodthirsty attackers who don't die easily. Interesting YA zombies!

Tom Leveen does great at showing that during a freak zombie apocalypse at a high school, no matter your identity whether white, black, brown, latinx, male, female etc. we all bleed the same. A great way to show a very dysfunctional high school and how people can work together to survive something apocalypctic despite differences.

I honestly loved this book! Normally i am scared to go with a zombie book but i had to read Sick for school & it was amazing!
