Not What I Expected

Have to say, the ending was not what I expected at all. However, I had to skip through parts of the book. It was too repetitive and there was too much self-absorption by a few of the characters. O must say, it's an unexpected turn from Book 1. Fair attempt with this one though.

Why 3 for story not 5?

Dear fellow romance readers, I know we see a lot of 5 star ratings but after we read the book we say to ourselves was it a real review or a phoney one. Well, this is a real review. I thought this was a very good story. However, it had a few problems. First, the use of stuff from 50 shades of grey was not necessary. The subplot came out of nowhere. I liked the Hunter character, but I felt that the Christina character was too weak for him. Trenton sometimes seemed like a common thug and not a millionaire. I got confused with the Magrical and the horse Marigold names. With that said, I did like the mystery part of the book. I'm inspired to start reading romance books with suspense in them. I'm usually good at figuring out who did it, but the ending took me by total surprise. I hope the next book focuses on the story and less on trying to be something it does not need to be. I recommend this book. Enjoy!

Holy Cow! 4.5* I must admit that I didn't enjoy, book one, but the ending was good enough to make me grab number two; and boy am I glad that I did. When an author can flawlessly switch from one character POV to another without confusing the reader, I have much respect, and thoroughly enjoy my read. Kudos!

The new character additions, and the expansions on past/ current characters were perfect! I found myself speculating one minute, drooling the next, only to fall out of my reading chair by the time it was over.

This former cynic, is now an impatient fan... Where is the next one?!

Beware-Cliffhanger!

Loved the book- but I hate that the story is unfinished. Should have come with a warning label so I could wait until entire tale is on audio before purchasing. 😠

Fabulous

The two books were great. The suspense was also sit at the end of your chair in both books. When I finished the first book I couldn’t wait to listen to the second. Now I would hope there would be a new book as it left a whole lot of unanswered questions.

cliffhanger with no ending

Shattered Virtue and Shattered Trust were published in 2015-2016 yet there isn't a final book for a real ending in 2022. so sorry I wasted my time on these two books. they were great reads but with no ending to the storyline they left me very frustrated.

Audible did it again a cliffhanger without telling us

This is book 2 and I can’t find book 3 . So Audible did it again!!! I did not know that it was at three book series. I am so mad.
I am asking for my money back since I had no idea it was a three book series. Audible only showed two books when you brought up the series search. And book 3 is nowhere to be found. Audible should be responsible for letting their readers know this before they start a series and don’t have all the books in the series. And the authors to Should let their readers know it’s a series of three books or four books. I won’t be reading another book by this author and I’m going to be very careful with Audible. I’m still frustrated by not knowing this was a series and there is no 3rd book. I put in 15 hours of listening to a book that never has an ending. I’m so tired of this always happening with Audible they should be aware of this so it doesn’t keep happening.😩 otherwise I would’ve loved the book I think have I been able to listen to the ending. Now I’m just frustrated and done with this author forever.
