Magic is real.

It’s so sad the narration is awful. This story stands out with visuals and drama. You can almost feel the magic. The struggle is compelling. The rewards are full of feeling. I’m so glad I read the original book. The narrative is broken and juvenile. In many places in the book, it’s as though the narrator can hardly read at all. For such a compelling author and story, it’s disappointing such a poor performer was chosen.

Narration - ugh!

Typical Nora book. I always enjoy her books. This narration is horrible. It was all I could do to make it through. Increased the play speed to 1.25 to make. the. pauses. in. the. reading. of. the. story. less. painful.

Terrible performance

Is there anything you would change about this book?

I love Nor Roberts, but this narrator has ruined this book completely. I am having a difficult time getting all the way through it because of his performance. It is so much of a distraction that I am not able to enjoy or even get into the story. I'm concentrating too much on his words and understanding who is saying what, doing what, then the story itself.

How did the narrator detract from the book?

He was more monition then and dull then I prefer. Unable to distinguish between characters. Just overall, poor.

terrible voices

this narrator was so hard to listen to. there was so little difference between character voices it was impossible to follow dialogue clearly. they one distinct voice was a truly annoying take on an American accent that just grated when he remembered to use it for the character.

Once you getting over the narration...

The first chapter is the worst. The narrator's kid voice is far worse than the horrible adult voices. But I was able to get through.
