A fun story, wonderful narration!

What a fun story! Charity Parkerson masterfully combines the sexy and the paranormal in this series, creating engaging and believable characters and a hard-to-put down plot. The romance between Gideon, an angel and a fighter, and Skylar is sexy, erotic, exciting, and sweet -- all at the same time. Hollie Jackson's narration fits the style of the book perfectly. She's easy to listen to and does a great job with the different characters, especially in dialogue.

This collection was okay.

Okay, I have bought a couple of collections like this that were awful - bad writing, bad narration - total waste of time. This wasn't one of them. It was "fine". In the right mood for some silly sexy paranormal - (more angels than witches to be honest) fun this could be just the thing. There was nothing about it that made me want to turn it off, but also nothing about it that made me want to keep going. To be honest, half way through I got a bit bored and actually did go and listen to something else that I was more in the mood for. I did eventually come back to it though and finish it off. The writing is decent, the narration decent (it isn't one of those awful stiff narrations that makes some audio's unlistenable, but also wasn't a melt your panties narration).

Overall it was just okay. Worth the time if this is your kind of thing and you are in the mood for it, but not a pass up everything else and *definitely* get this one selection.

So... if I can't keep my attention on the story... especially when I have my earbobs in... Well, guess I am bored, bored, and bored!

This book is ridiculous and not in a good way.

This book has no plot, the story skips from person to person with out warning, it is not developed in any sense. The book is so bad you may get a frown line from thinking to your self how bad it really is. The narrator is holly jackson so I tried to listen as she usally does a wonderful job, but even she could not do much with this story. The sex is vulgar and every 5 minutes not tastfeul in the least and the sex scenes go on for way to long I had to fast forward.If you are looking for a good book continue to look as this is not it.

Nonsense and high school hormones

Oof, even Hollie Jackson’s campy narration couldn’t save this turkey. There’s no Table of Contents, and the five novellas go from 3 hrs to 25 minutes to 2 hrs, so good luck if you want to skip to the next one. Unnecessary F bombs and JCs gave this a trashy vibe.

POVs pinball between the various MCs for all of the novellas, along with random plot points that only work because no one asks logical questions or thinks like an adult. For example, after their first night together, one MMC gets so mad that she left the bed to work on a potion that he throws a tantrum, then throws a punch and hurts a completely innocent guy. Do you just love a man that jumps to conclusions, is beyond caveman possessive, and handles stress with his fists? If so, then by all means, proceed.

What really killed it for me was the sex-on-the-brain idiocy of all of the characters that occupied 90% of the story. Instead of being goth-dark, the cover art should have been pastel pink, with a girl twirling her hair and drooling while she looks up the hunky angel’s kilt. The childish behavior made the detailed sex scenes really awkward. I regret the time spent on this.
