He says, “I know you…”
You can’t believe it.
He shows you, how much He knows you, loves you, by telling you things, only He could know.
Seven more times, you open seven more letters…from Him.
They start off with encouragement, then they get personal. Intimate.
About the time you’re feeling totally exposed—skeletons and all— He shows you a way out. Tells you what to do, how to overcome, and how He will reward you, if you do.
That’s what it's like reading the seven letters from Jesus.
Without mincing words or wasting one jot, or tittle, Jesus reveals the Truth, from before the beginning, to after the end.
All throughout, He weaves us in.
John prays, Jesus appears, John faints, Jesus wakes him, and tells him, to get up and write.
He does.
We still have what was written. It’s more relevant, current, and True, than today’s news.
That’s a miracle.
Stately structures of Rome, and majestic wonders of pagan temples, loomed large, the day the letters were delivered. Today, they’re a pile of ruins, a trap for tourists.
However, the seven letters, written by an old man, from a prison camp, on an island, still stand; stronger, taller, and more powerful, than the day they were written.
Straight out of the gate we’re told, blessed are those who read, hear, and obey, the words of this prophecy (Revelation 1:3).
Revelation is prophecy. Not allegory, or story, but…HIS-tory, told in advance.
Lately, the bell has tolled all over the globe; news reports ring, like global obituaries. Birth pains —not Braxton Hicks. They’ll come faster and faster, become more and more intense.
Our job is to breathe, the Word of God.
We’ve been given the Script; not to scare us, but prepare us; to be, overcomers.
Please know, it’s by Divine orchestration and timing, that today, we read these letters, and watch them play out before our very eyes.
Today, if you hear His Voice, harden not your heart. Hebrews 3:15.
Let’s pray:
Lord, we love You.
Thank You for Your Word, that’s forever settled in heaven.
Help us discern the times, honor You, walk in fearless love, and occupy, ‘til You call us Home.
Come quickly, Lord Jesus. Find us loving You, and ready.
Amen.
He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.
