Resumen del Editor

The Masters is unquestionably the crown jewel of golf's major tournaments, not only for the transcendent performances it has inspired over the years, but for the incomparable sights and sounds of Augusta National and its environs, each distinct element contributing to the storied, rarefied atmosphere which draws tens of thousands to Georgia each spring.

Seven Days in Augusta is a celebration of what makes the Masters singular and iconic, from the par-3 contest to Amen Corner to Butler Cabin. Mark Cannizzaro goes behind the scenes of the exclusive competition, covering wide-ranging topics including green jacket rituals, tales from The Crow's Nest atop the clubhouse, the extreme lengths some fans have gone to acquire tickets, and what goes on outside the gates during Masters week.

Also featuring some of the most memorable and dramatic moments from the tournament's history, this is an essential, expansive look at golf's favorite event.

Easy, breezy story

Good story with short essays about different behind the scenes aspects of the Masters and Agusta National. I knew some of the stories already, and there were new ones I hadn't heard.

My only complaint is the narrator's attempt to do accents when quoting international players. The accents are poorly done and the players sound the same. He should not have tried.

If you are a golf fan, I recommend this book.

Jack "Nicholas"?

The continual mispronunciation of Jack's last name drove me nuts. No problem with Woods, though.

Augusta from the inside...

Having attended the last "Michelson Master's" in 2010, with my eldest son then 15 and through the kindness of a very dear friend, the Masters and every aspect of that tournament interests me even more now than it did as a high school golf team captain in 1979. This volume fills a great purpose in bringing the average fan a few steps closer to a place in golf lore and history that they would never otherwise be able to peek into. Personable and written in a voice that is always respectful of both the game and the average fan, Cannizzaro has offered us a book of stories, remembrances and insights that can't really be found anywhere else. Good read.

Really interesting

This is a really interesting book with so much that most people like me didn’t know about the Masters. Really well read by Kyle Tait.

Disappointed

Lots of repeat and rehashed stories along with a lot of inaccuracies. Mediocre treatment of the Masters.

Great behind the scenes of the Masters. Loved this book. Couldn’t stop listening and finished in 2 days.

Book/Story are great but....

This book presentation would’ve been so much more enjoyable had the narrator not tried a bunch of hokey accents that didnt work. I found myself missing the story sometimes because i was dismayed by the poor quality of the attempted accent that it took away form the book.

Great Masters coverage for sure with nice insight. Well written, poorly read.

Fantastic!

If you are a fan of the Masters, whether ever going there or not, this book provides so many cool stories and traditions that you will be completely entrenched from chapter 1.

Accents…

It’s a bit repetitive, you will hear the same accounts a few times in the same book, but referring to Ernie Els as South American, once, and Faldo as a two time Masters champ was jarring. And to the producers, don’t encourage accents, this narrator can’t do South African, English, Spanish, Northern Irish accents… McIlroy doesn’t sound like Westwood after all …and that got annoying. Best to listen to this one chapter at a time.
