Selfish Arena

Sooner or later, life deals all of us unexpected, sometimes painful, and unwanted cards to play. It's up to each of us to choose whether we stay at the table taking a chance that the next hand will be kinder and more equitable, or cut our losses. Through a maze of mistakes and missteps, our young and tenacious heroine comes to understand that a run of lousy hands does not necessarily foretell a life-long spree. Perhaps, even though her experience may well be different than ours, we can see a bit of her in the games we choose to play or the places we choose to stay.
