SEISMIC is about earthquakes. In Los Angeles. In the not-too-distant future. This is the story of a charismatic homeless man with the uncanny ability to predict seismic activity, an underappreciated reporter who somehow always manages to be in the right place at the right time, three Catholic high-school girls who should be studying for finals, and a seminarian from Central Africa desperately trying to understand America. Their lives converge and collide in unexpected ways with unintended results. John of Hollywood can't talk, but he can sing. Like an opera star. He has visions of dragons and destruction. He knows exactly when the next big earthquake will strike and enlists the help of his eccentric friends to warn the inhabitants of Los Angeles of the impending danger. Claudia LeRocque is convinced that her program director is trying to derail her promising career when he assigns her to interview a homeless lunatic, a singing prophet of doom. It turns out to be the lead of a lifetime. Mayra, Nicole and Suzi have been best friends ever since the first grade. They encounter John in Hollywood one day while changing buses after school. A generous donation becomes a serious commitment. Alphonse Batukafumba leaves the seminary grounds for the first time in weeks. The train ride to Los Angeles is enlightening, but the short walk from the Highlands metro station to the church in Hollywood is a dramatic revelation.
