Usually, we don’t question the way we see the world because we believe our way is the one and only. These essays present an alternative viewpoint. They challenge the habitual way of seeing, which gives priority to technique, subject, and outcome.
The meditative approach to photography centers on “seeing”. It peels away the conceptual layers that obscure seeing from within and keep us from discovering new perceptions. Artists of any stripe can enjoy and benefit from a perspective that is clear and original - one that allows you to see what “is” and not merely what you think it is.

Good information but the narration was poor
I appreciated the lessons & insights in this book. The narrator read almost too slowly. I fell asleep twice. I also felt like she thought her listeners were 3rd graders, by the speed & intonation she used.
