Resumen del Editor

With the bushels of time they spent organizing their wedding, Meg and Seth didn't have a chance to plan a honeymoon. But now that winter has arrived, there's not much to do at the orchard. So with their shared love of history and all things apple, they pick Thomas Jefferson's orchards at Monticello as the perfect getaway.

While they enjoy the beautiful sights, there's a rotten addition to the agenda when Meg's parents discover their handyman dead in the backyard. With a bitter police chief eyeing Meg's father as a suspect, Meg and Seth have to cut their honeymoon short to find the root of the problem.

Book 10 Narrator

Didn't like the Narrator for this book or book 9. she made Meg very whiney, for someone who is supposed to be a very strong person.

Great book

This is a great series of books. Meg and Seth do a great job of solving crimes. My only problem with the last two books is the change in narrators. I hope there are more of these books to come in the future. I can't wait.

Better than the last

The last book was a bit of a disappointment. However this one is pretty good. Meg is very introspective, but, the story is believable and interesting. Marguerite Gavin is a great narrator and livens up everything she reads. She is one of my favorite narrators.

S-L-O-W

Unfortunately, this is not one of the author's better series. You can read the summary for yourself, so you don't need a repeat here.

Perhaps the author's intention is to develop the individual characters and their interrelationships (read as "beat the reader to death with them"), using the murder mystery as a vehicle. The problem is, none of the characters, except perhaps Seth (and maybe the dead gardener) is particularly likable. And Seth has barely a role in the story, except to drive up and down the East Coast and say "yes, dear." So, we are left w Meg, her cold and distant father, and her doormat mother, and a dead gardener.

Nope, just couldn't work myself up to caring about any of them. By the time the author got around to "who done it," I was just grateful it was nearly the end of the book.
