Securing Love

Isabella Bryant’s family has struggled to feed everyone for many years. Having had six children, her mother and father had worked hard all of her life. When they give her two years to marry and move out, Isabella’s up for the challenge. She just hadn’t found time to court someone properly yet because of her work as a nurse.

Caleb Robbins owns a mine in San Francisco. He’s looking for a wife to help him out around the house, and he wants to find a woman who will give him love. He wants a loving life. When Isabella responds to his ad in The Matrimonial Times, he’s intrigued because she lives in Washington, D.C.

Isabella is excited to get to know Caleb – but when something happens at the last large gathering she plans to attend in D.C., the only person she feels safe enough to run to is Caleb Robbins in San Francisco. It’s a lot of change all at once. Can Isabella handle all of these changes?

Caleb is excited to meet Isabella in person after writing to her for a year. But he worries that the circumstances are too much.

Will Isabella discover a way to find the love she wants, or will her parents end up overruling her and doom her to a life where she cannot work?
