Never too early to start saving

As a Gen-X'er myself, I had fallen into many of the traps that this book describes, but I'm back on track now. However, I gave this to my son, who's in the Gen-Z generated, and he found a lot of value. This book does go into a lot of detail, and I liked the approach. The topics around carrying debt are critical, and while this book assumes that you have no debt, it does emphasize the point. The steps on saving are solid and can be repeated by anyone to follow the advice. The character studies drive home the point: Just because you have money now doesn't mean you can stop saving today. If you are looking to save for retirement, this book has a lot of solid advice. I Recommend it.

This book was a Great Find!

Being a generation Xer, I am always looking for guidance on how to prepare for retirement. The author is spot on in saying that we didn't learn this valuable skill during our upbringing. This book is an easy to follow money management plan that breaks down the needed actions by chapter that we need to to put into practice to have enough money to retire comfortably. I especially liked the debt management and financial protection chapters as those are areas that I definitely struggle with. I highly recommend this book to anyone looking to plan their retirement and has limited knowledge of the world of finance, like me.

I mean, who doesn't dream about retiring early?! I like that this book is specifically for GenXers, like me. Out set of circumstances is different from people younger and older than us. There are a ton of great, actionable ideas in the book, and I can't wait to implement them. Excellent narration as well. Recommend!!

I loved that author covered mindset and psychology topics because I believe that first you have to start with the right mindset and you can achieve only these things which you believe you can achieve...

Thorough Audiobook on Financial Planning

Lots of excellent, common sense information on how to properly manage your personal finances and prepare for retirement. The section on the psychology of spending was great as were the sections on the cash flow system, setting up an emergency fund as well as wealth accumulation strategies. Worth the listen!

Full of Excellent Information

I have had an interest in finance for several years and found this book very informative. It is easy to put retirement planning to one side, especially, for example, when you are young or starting a family. It is vital, however that retirement planning in some form is started as early as possible. This book will aid you in doing this; excellent advice on cash flow, when and when not to borrow money are just two examples. The author encourages the reader to analyse their finances when circumstances change. This may sound common sense, but from experience, it is surprising how many of us do not do this. I also found helpful the advice given in respect of activities etc., when retired. The narration was clear and engaging. Overall I thought this an excellent book on a crucial topic. Well done to all concerned!
