Book 2, Secrets of the Isles, of the Series of the Ellery Sisters brings in new characters as the youngest daughter, Penny, deals with the death of her husband. The first book of the Series, John Ellery's Daughters, is about five sisters orphaned during the civil war. Young and headstrong, the five orphaned Ellery sisters take up arms to protect what they have but the story is about the path each sister chooses as they start a new life after the war trying to put aside their memories.
