“The Fountain of Youth” is about the sedentary and degenerative lives of residents in a retirement home; however, two of the men, with the help of an old classmate, come up with a bold plan to reinvigorate and rejuvenate their physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being. “Reunion” is the story of a young actress whose life is disintegrating due to the excesses that celebrity can bring; she decides to return to the high school she attended and seek advice from two adults who had a tremendous influence upon her. “Oblivion” is the tale of a young scientist who decides to live on a small island, a bird sanctuary in the Salton Sea Resort; he will live there one year to gather results on how isolation affects human beings. “Footprints in the Grass” centers on a reclusive man who spends inordinate amounts of time caring for his award-winning lawn; then, a young girl in the neighborhood befriends him, and his life begins to change. “The Island of Him” depicts the life of a young man who loses his health, which destroys any chance for him to marry and have a family; despite his bitterness and grief, which cause him to abandon society, he begins to doubt if he has chosen the correct path.
