Why is the main character so dumb?
I'm about halfway through the book and I just cannot listen to this guy not understand the obvious things anymore it's just so irritating! and he writes comic books and he didn't understand the alternate reality thing like instantly.... Actually other than that irritation it's a pretty decent book the writing's okay the plot is good even if the pacing belabors the dude's dumbness ...you know.... okay I changed my mind I like this book now.

easy enjoyable listen while walking the dogs
Kept my attention althou it could be a bit slow in the story evolving . I also turned up the speed to 1.2 which I seem to be doing for most stories. Do not get turned off by the start of the story with the hallucination references.
