Good story, Bad narrative

I downloaded the audio version around chapter 14. I couldn’t do it! I couldn’t listen to the narrator. It was horrible! Back to reading I go!

Great Story

First I have to say that this book has triggers and I mean big time triggers. So if you can't read about abuse and so much more than do not read this book because it is not for you. I had the chance to listen to this story on Audible and I absolutely loved it.

The narrator Amber Bray was amazing. I love listening to a story because I always feel like I am there right there with the characters. This is a story unlike anything I have read because Roxy is so abused that I wanted to jump into the story and KILL Rage. Rage was such an arsehole and he used and abused his wife Roxy. The things he has done to her is stuff you read about rarely and when you do read it you are appalled.

Then her friend Tex comes to her rescue but they are on the run because they know that Rage will kill both of them. What will they do stay on the run and hide or will Roxy go back to Rage?

Tex, Roxy and Rage

Would Roxy choose to stay in a family that doesn’t make her happy or move on with someone who make her happy? Roxy is married to Rage. Rage physically abuses her. Tex is still in love with Roxy. This love triangle will make your world upside down. Great work!

Dark MC Romance

The story was very dark MC romance and I like the story until there was more characters added I think I would have enjoyed it more if they stuck with the characters Rage, Roxy and Vince. I am also not a big fan of cliffhangers.

I'm so very confused.

I have no idea what actually happened with this book, I'm beyond confused. And, it just kept going. There is no explaining it.

Dark romance... my kind of story! I wish the story was a little longer with more background but overall a great darm romance!
Narration was good but did not care for the accent. I had to rewind a couple of times.

Dark MC MFMFM Romance

I feel like I should start by dropping trigger warnings all up and through this review. There are multiple descriptions of gang rape and abuse. These scene are brutal.

The story is told from duel POVs. Roxy is the wife of MC President Rage (A true MONSTER). She feels trapped in her life and is just doing the best she can to survive day to day. The other POV is from Tex, the VP of the MC/ Rage's best friend. There are a multitude of side players that you will truly grow to love. Never feel like you know where this one is going to go, just when you are safe in the story the authors pulls the rug out from under you.

This ends on a pretty intense cliffhanger. It knocked me on my butt. I really need to read the next book because I have to see where this is going to go.

I would recommend this for fans of MC, Menage romance and DARK (I mean DARK) romance.

Great Book One

This starts with the fact that our beautiful scorned female lead, Roxy is already married to Rage. His name is what he is. Roxy, outgrowing Rage, falls for Tex, again, before he was taken away long time ago by Rage, himself. This is an exciting love story filled with action and drama. I love this!

Definitely Dark!

Holy twisted biker book! There are most definitely some triggers in this book, but this story is something else. I do not know if I am able to explain it properly, but if you like dark this is for you. This is not a love story, but there is love.

Maddeningly intense story!!!

Scarred: Reapers MC, Book 1 by Elizabeth Knox was just a gut-wrenching story. At times I was crying, screaming, sobbing…this wrung every emotion you can think of from me. It’s the story of Roxy and Tex. She’s in a horribly abusive relationship with Rage…whose name says it all. She suffers relentlessly, nearly dying. Tex looks the other way for a long time…but, finally tries to save her. They flee.

The emotions that this story wrought are too numerous to recount….and the levels of emotion are off the charts. The heartache from the events that occur in this story break all boundaries. Yet, I was deeply immersed in this story and it’s outcome. I can’t wait for more!!!!

The narrator, Amber Bray did a phenomenal job performing this story!!! One or two mispronunciations…but, I can overlook that since everything else was spot on!!! She brought this story to life…with agonizing clarity and depth. I WISH I had the rest of this series in an Audiobook…but, alas….I do not. LOTS of triggers so be aware of that. But, don’t miss this fabulous story!!!
