Young love

I enjoyed this book. It was my first Marie Long book and I loved it . The narrator did a great job as well . It’s a nice story about the power of young love.

Basic

Basic college story. The narration was difficult to hear, which made it hard to finish.

Dominic and Denise

Marie Long has created characters that are interesting, and a storyline that is a bit scattered, but interesting. I really liked Dominic and his old fashioned ways. I felt some areas of the story could have been more streamlined and cohesive, but the just of the story was good.

Levar Ross did well with the narration.

The Anderson Brothers book 1. New adult contemporary romance.
Bars, nightclubs, tshirts with logos and on-night hookups. Angsty male voice written in present tense. Crude. Lots of references to T&A.

Narrated by Levar Ross who had a rough, flat dialog. Mid East coast. Not really pleasant to listen to but definitely representative of the male characters.

Neither new adult nor male 20ish perspective are in my line of preferences.
I read this as part of a reading challenge. I doubt I would read the author again if it fits these two categories.

The author did not disappoint with this first installment in the series. The conflicts were well timed. And the romance had a sweet heat!!!!!!

Cute

This is a cute story. It made me reminisce of my college days. It would have been nice if sometimes the story was told from Denises perspective as well, but overall it was a good read. I will read the next book in the series.

AWESOME QUALITY AND DYNAMICS

Would you listen to Scarred again? Why?

Yes I would listen again, I like ups and downs of the story. It's not so straight forward and the tempo changes a few times.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Larry is my favorite character. He's the only character who seems like he's got a good head on his shoulders.

Which scene was your favorite?

Larry and Dom together at the bar.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

No.

I was pleasantly surprised by the way this book flowed and was read. It wasn't narrated or scripted like a traditional audiobook. Every character was unique and distinguishable (even the one liners) which made it very easy, and enjoyable to tell what was going on at all times.

My heart went out to Dom for all the abuses he suffered and how resilient he was. His actions with Denise wete heroic and honorable. I enjoyed the characters and became invested in their journey. I liked the narrator's accent, voice, and expressions. I voluntarily listened to this and am giving an honest review.

Complicated

It was very back and forth. I liked the story and characters but not the hot and cold. The narrator was good
