Scarlet Stains: Lycan Rejected Mate (Bloodstone Saga Book 1) ~~ I went into this one expecting a typical rejected-mate story, but Scarlet Stains came in hot with emotional depth and darker undertones that pulled me in fast. The rejection hurts — truly — and you can feel the FMC’s heartbreak, confusion, and quiet strength as she’s forced to survive being cast aside by the one person meant to protect her. This story leans heavy on emotional wounds before it ever offers healing, and I appreciated that realism.

Reading this on Kindle while also listening on Audible made the experience even stronger. The narration added weight to the pain, especially during the rejection scenes — those moments hit. The pacing is steady, the world-building is solid, and the author doesn’t rush the emotional fallout, which I really respected.

This book sets the tone for the entire Bloodstone Saga beautifully — raw, angsty, and layered with promise. I would definitely recommend this book and series and can’t wait to start on the next book. If you want to know what happens next, you’ll just have to read this series yourself — you won’t regret it.
