In the little town of Wallowcreek, a young boy named Thomas Chipp and his friends are tormented by a deranged scarecrow that lurks within the shadows of a cornfield. It all started in 1976 when two thrill-seekers disturbed the resting place of an ancient phantom which possesses the ability to deceive, manipulate, and mock reality to trap its victims forever. And after thirty years, its plague continues to reign over the town. In the month leading up to Halloween night, they are lured to the heart of the cornfield, and beyond, to a place where its victims lie trapped for all of eternity. And in order to prevail over this evil entity, they must see through the illusions.
