Resumen del Editor

The Bible is often presented as an antiquated document filled with mysterious prophesies, unbelievable fables, and arbitrary decisions by a God whose actions range from anger and vengeance to love and forgiveness. The Bible's creation story appears to be at complete odds with more credible scientific explanations of the origins and evolution of life, and believers in Biblical truth are further challenged by haunting questions about why a good God would create a world so full of evil, pain, suffering, and death. Satan's Dare takes these issues and questions head-on.

Worth the Listen

I'm not sure where to start...this is a unique book. This book is a biblical thesis crossed with a true crime movie crossed with a romance novel.

The author clearly is trying to present both an argument for pursuing better biblical understanding by connecting biblical fact with science and presenting possible answers to hard questions that can tie the Bible and science/life together. I appreciated the delicate balance the author took in presenting possible non-conventional interpretations of scripture while holding fast to the core gospel message that salvation is through Jesus alone. I didn't agree with all of the possibilities presented, but the presented ideas were clearly made in good faith to start conversations.

I think one of the most important points in the book was that the current approach to faith among the younger generations isn't working. This book demonstrates an approach where asking questions about God and the Bible are ok and encouraged. Personally, it was my questioning everything that led me to Christ and it was a stubborn, judgemental church that drove me away in the first place. I think this book is an important read, even if it's a bit cheesy at times.

The best

Satan’s Dare was the best audible book I have listened to in years. Perfect book for my ‘One Walks with Jesus’. Must be made into a series for streaming video services.

Eye opening and thought provoking

Having experienced my own Job like tragedies I was curious to hear what a fictional book had to say on suffering. While some of the concepts are a little far fetched for me, the book repeatedly informs the listener/reader to prayerfully think about, and study the Bible for themselves, and this is NEVER a bad thing. Overall, I would recommend with the caveat that the narrators efforts to be the voice of several different people, male and female, Northerner and Southerner took time to get used to. The only other observation I would mention, without spoiling the end, is that this book like most Christian based movies, has a happily ever after ending, which any true Christ Follower knows, and many experience, may not happen on this side of eternity.

Poorly written

You can tell the author was a politician because he uses 100 words when 10 would suffice.
The narrator's voice was sing songs and irritating.
Couldn't wait for it to be over.

it's okay. I wanted a story not self help book

loved the concept I was looking for more of the story and not the research. But it was good. But if you are looking for a story this is more of a christian theology book that has a story to help give context.
