As he gets closer to his destination, however, he realizes that the clever-talking Mr. Smooth-It-Away may not be who he claims. While a caricature of Bunyan’s original tale, “The Celestial Railroad” ultimately drives home a similar point: there is no easy road to Heaven, so tough it out on the straight and narrow.

Wonderful character studies!
I have never before had to slow down a speaker in order to be able to keep up with the story (speed: .7) but once I did that I could appreciate how the narrator was able to distinguish between characters that were remarkably alike. She did a good job with that and with the local accenr/dialect.
