But their plan goes awry when the chosen host is eliminated, and the samurai's spirit ends up in an unlikely vessel: a quiet, unassuming mailroom worker who took the job to avoid dealing with people.
Armed with the ancient skills of a samurai and an awkward determination to do what's right, this unlikely hero must step up to become the ultimate vampire slayer. Can he deliver humanity from darkness, or will the vampires' shadowy reign become eternal?

The book is formatted into episodes, with the first episode being roughly 100 pages and the subsequent episodes about half that length. Regrettably, I’m unable to opt for the Vella, but the book follows a similar model.
