A short guide to salvation

The bible is a book about redemption. To redeem is to buy back, or to free from what harms. Sin has harmed the human race far more than most people realize. But God had a plan from the beginning to bring fallen man back to a state of spiritual health… it was a plan for the salvation of the fallen race. Of all the subjects in the Word of God, study of the plan of salvation should rank near the top in importance, yet it has been woefully overlooked by the majority of teachers within the church world. The reason? Presumption. Salvation is not something to be presumed, but something to be verified by the Word of God. Jesus said to “search the scriptures, for in them you thing you have eternal life. Most people base their salvation on a few scriptures that in many cases are misapplied. The study you are about to undertake is not lengthy, nor exhaustive, but it is thorough enough to be a solid start to a complete study of the salvation doctrine. Using a conceptual approach to the subject as opposed to a formulaic approach, not only are scriptural references given to establish conclusions, but concepts are brought out that make the subject of salvation easy to be grasped.
