I read all the books I could devour on the beauty of parenthood. I thought I was ready. But nothing could have prepared me for the hurricane of jacked-up emotional chaos otherwise known as post-partum hormones. And no one said the feelings would come with a machine that would try to eat my nipples. Seriously, those breast pumps should be banned. If that wasn't enough to make me lose what little sanity I was clinging to, let's throw into the mix my sadistic best friends getting the brilliant idea to kidnap my daughter for a while.

But wait, folks, that's not all. Trying to keep my mate from maiming my friends was hard enough. But then, Thia gets snatched out from underneath the noses of my besties and truly kidnapped. If there was an award for FUBAR first days of life, Thia would win hands down. Sorry, mini-me. I'll try and make it up to you. But no promises. Probably better to save up the money to pay for the counseling you're eventually going to need.

I love the stories in audible and I like author of this series. The books are awesome

New Narrator

Everyone keeps complaining on the different narrator. It’s fine. The story is the important part.

Great series, wonderful characters, so-so narrator

I am completely enthralled with this series. Love the characters and story, at times making me laugh and cry. Very disappointed in this narrator vs the narrator in the first 7 books, she was awesome. The 1st narrator will be reading a couple more and then it switches back to this one. Sadly not sure I’ll be able to continue the series when it does. A good narrator is important, a so-so narrator can destroy a book for me, especially when I’ve become invested in the story through her in the first 7 books.

A little disappointed

I hate that the narrator changed. This kinda ruined this one for me. I purchased like 5 more but probably won’t listen to them if the narrator is different from the first 7.

Update Totally loved this novella except..

Who is jihalicho? When Perry is finding Thea’s crib empty she refers to the nursery as Thea & Jihalicho’s nursery? I’m not sure how it’s spelled but it’s definitely said. Otherwise excellent series

2 hours later and I realized that the new reader was saying Decible’s last name Angelasco!!! Dah great series I like both narrators

Great storyline

I loved the story and the characters, the author has a great sense of humor when writing. The only thing I didn't like was the change in the narrator. After 7 books with the previous narrator, you grew to love each character and the voices chosen for them, especially Perizada. This narrator now has Sally with a somewhat southern accent. Pronounced Vasile's name as Vazel and Peri now had a deep voice. The story itself was great.

Bad Narration!!

I absolutely love this series and overall story!! However, they should have stuck with the same narrator of the previous books. This girl’s voice is not conducive to the story and she was mispronouncing characters names. Which took away from how awesome this story actually is!!!

I preferred the original narrator

I love this book series! I’ve listened to all of them in audio multiple times and have encouraged several others to give the books a try including my daughter and granddaughter. But this narrator bugged me. She may be a perfectly wonderful narrator, but she pronounces a bunch of names differently which is very distracting. Wouldn’t you think I’d you were talking over narrating an already well established book series that you’d do a little homework? It smacks of unprofessionalism. I did enjoy this mini-book as this was my first time hearing it.
