Eliza and Nathan's love story - Book One

This was a lovely story—low on angst (just how I like it!) and thoroughly enjoyable from start to finish. The narration was solid, no complaints at all. I'm already looking forward to diving into book two in the series.

Great listen.

I really enjoyed listening to this story. Loved the characters. They're so entertaining, you feel like you're right there with them. Happy listening.

Small Town Romance

This is the first book in The Easton Firefighter Trilogy, a small-town romance. Nathan (Nate) and Eliza’s story is sweet, emotional, fun, and passionate, filled with tension and a satisfying slow-burn romance. Told in third person, this firefighter love story is both engaging and heartwarming. CJ Locks delivers a solid narration that brings the characters and emotions to life. Small town

STEAM by MacKenzie Stowe is an amazing small town firefighter romance. C. J. Locks did an excellent job with the narration. STEAM is the first book in The Easton Firefighter Trilogy. The story is entertaining, interesting, enjoyable, romantic, spicy, hot, funny, and more. Eliza never wanted to come back to Easton but it’s didn’t work out that way. Nate is a firefighter now. Nate remembers Eliza as a goofy little sister of his best friend. Now he can’t stop looking at her. I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review. Highly recommend.

Really good for being third person!

I don’t usually gravitate toward third-person narration, but this really surprised me in the best way. I had the chance to listen to the ARC audio, and I’m so glad I did. The writing pulled me in fast, and the characters felt layered and real, even with the extra narrative distance third-person sometimes brings.

The pacing was solid, the chemistry was chef’s kiss, and the story had just the right mix of emotional depth and tension to keep me locked in. The audio narration definitely helped elevate the experience too it felt immersive and really brought the characters to life.

Good story and listen

If you're looking for a spicy Firefighter 🚒 story to listen to I recommend this to you. There is spicy parts but it's really good. I like the Duel POV the narrator did a good job trying to distinguish between the two.
