When a woman is found murdered in Brownsburg the day after he arrives, Ross immediately recognizes the similarities to the Chicago victims. He decides not to reveal his suspicions about the link between the new victim and the unsolved murders in Chicago so he can finally search for the killer himself.

Brownsburg K-9 patrol officer Jae Redmond is raising her two-year-old son while wrangling her energetic partner, Zoso. Intrigued by the new detective, she stumbles onto Ross’s connection to the serial killer in Chicago. When he convinces her that he is the only one who can draw the killer out, she risks her job to keep his secret and help him with his covert investigation.
