Acerca de esta escucha

Seven hundred years of waiting. One-quarter of a million days to dream of death and destruction.
For seven long centuries, Luka rotted in the cave. Damned to wait in that hidden hell hole while Raso, the man who had betrayed him walked free. In the distant village, his wife grew old and passed away while his son fathered children of his own. Each generation lived and died until they too became ghosts of the past. But the unknown soldier did not forget. He counted every single bleak day, waiting for the moment when he would have his revenge.
As 1965 dawned Luka surveyed the distant village from his prison. Today would be different. After nearly seven hundred years the wait was over. The man Luka hated was back and even though others would have to die, bitter revenge would finally be his.
William Wallace was supposed to have said, ‘You can take our lives, but you can never take our freedom.’ He was lying, he needed both.

Loved this book. I’ve read a few from this author and I thought it would be hard to beat ‘Deadwater’ but this book has been by far the best. It was comical, enlightening, thoughtful and scary. You get really involved with the characters. Would highly recommend.

With grisly murders in the background, and a strange creature/man stalking a small Scottish town, we have a group of young people intent on travelling over the border to lay claim to Scotland's independence. When trouble comes at them, it comes unexpectedly, and I admit to being wholly surprised by the twist at the end.

I love this author's books; descriptive, suspenseful and like the others, a great read.
