Growing up in the mill slums of Pittsburgh, Daniel Robinson was a punching bag for his drunken father, ignored by his mentally ill mother, and trapped in the grip of poverty. Should he stay and fight for Charles—and put his family at risk, or run away again?

Every chapter of our lives matters

Sometimes our lives take so many twists in turnss that we begin to wonder what our purpose is. This book took me on many twists and turns and through every phase of his life. The descriptive writings made it hard to put the book down. I learned that we have many different purposes. Sometimes the things that sometimes make us the saddest, are the things that help us grow the most. i am so glad I read this. Bravo!
